This directory contains the local technology file for scmos. This tech file is compatible with the new magic extractor. The only differences with the techfile described in the magic manual are all in the extract section: 1) A command called planeorder has been added so that it will specify the ordering of the planes for shielding purposes. 2) If you don't specify a planeorder for the specific extract style magic will issue a warning so a comman named noplaneordering was created for suppressing this warning 3) A shieldtypes field was added in the sideoverlap command so that it will facilitate shielding of sidewall capacitances. 4) Finally the capacitance numbers in areacap and perimc commands can now be floating point numbers (doubles internally) for increased accuracy and use with low capacitance submicron technologies. This techfile is compatible with the new WRL/Stanford extractor (the default name of the techfile that magic will read is scmos.tech27). However if you want to generate scmos.tech26 (backwards compatibility) you still can do it if you dont pass the WRL_STANFORD_EXTRACTOR flag to cpp. This techfile contains extractions styles for HP's/MOSIS 1.2 and 1.0(0.8) technologies. There are two styles for each of them. The style named *Sp extracts for simulation with the latest version of ext2spice which does include the drain/source parasitics in form of AD,AD,PS,PD statements. The other style includes these parasitics as linear capacitors. This techfile contains a cif/pplot section and a lot of checking extract styles (floating well's etc). sidirop@chroma.stanford.edu (Feb. 95)
