Automatic Login

To set up automatic login for Gnome under Fedora, follow these steps:

  1. Open the gdm configuration file:

    nano /etc/gdm/custom.conf
    
  2. Add these lines:

    [daemon]
    AutomaticLoginEnable=true
    AutomaticLogin=<your user name>
  3. Reboot and viola!

Timed Login

To set up timed login for Gnome under Fedora, follow these steps:

  1. Open the gdm configuration file:

    nano /etc/gdm/custom.conf
    
  2. Add these lines:

    [daemon]
    TimedLoginEnable=true
    TimedLogin=<your user name>
    TimedLoginDelay=10
  3. Reboot and viola!

Sudo

To set up a user in sudo, follow these steps:

  1. Open the sudo configuration file:

    nano /etc/sudoers
    
  2. Look for this line:

    root            ALL=(ALL) ALL
  3. Add a similar line below it:

    <your user name>        ALL=(ALL) ALL
