Remote Power Control

Access to the APC requires an authentication name and password that must be requested via email.

Accessing the APC from within the ITTC Intranet

1. Open a browser window.
2. Navigate to: http://testbed-power.ittc.ku.edu/
3. Enter the authentication information.

Accessing the APC from outside of the ITTC Intranet

A few extra steps are required in order to access the APC from outside of the ITTC Intranet.

Linux

1. At a command prompt enter: sudo ssh -L 80:testbed-power:80 <your username>@ssh.ittc.ku.edu -p 62
2. Open a browser window.
3. Navigate to: http://localhost/

Windows

1. Windows lacks a simple command line SSH client. To access the APC from outside of the ITTC intranet, a SSH client must first be isntalled. This client is free for non-commercial use: http://www.ittc.ku.edu/remote/SSHSecureShellClient-3.2.9.exe

2. Go to start->run and enter cmd.

2. At the command prompt enter: ssh2 -L 80:testbed-power:80 <your username>@ssh.ittc.ku.edu -p 62

4. Open a browser window.
5. Navigate to: http://localhost/
