For Test 1 the students are expected to be able to:

• Understand and be able to apply the special functions, including impulse and pulse function-rect(t)
• Describe continuous and discrete signals in the time (including complex signals)
• Describe continuous and discrete systems in the time: impulse response
• Classify signals: periodic, aperiodic, power signals, energy signals
• Calculate signal power
• Calculate signal energy
• Classify continuous and discrete systems: linear/nonlinear, causal/non-causal, time-invariant/time-varying, dynamic/memoryless
• Determine the stability of continuous and discrete systems
• Perform continuous and discrete time convolution
• Determine the time characteristics of cascaded systems
