Implementation of a Spam Filter using Adaptive Equalization Method :
Abstract: The peremptory objective of the project is to implement a spam filter which functions to the requirements of the user. The spam filter is built using an ‘Adaptive Equalization Technique’ and it has a training sequence and a filtering sequence. In the training sequence the user gets to read the mails and mark them to be spam or ham (Non-spam) mails, which in turn copies the key words onto the respective databases. Once the training sequence is over the filter gets to know the commonly used spam words and begins its filter function based on the database. The entire project was built on a Linux platform.
