Extensible Hybrid Software Defined Radio (SDR) Architecture

ITTC researchers will document the requirements for a versatile Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform that has the capability of encompassing military, commercial, emergency services, and consumer applications. They will develop an extensible architecture that spans the scale from inexpensive, expendable, single-channel radios to high-performance, multi-application, multi-channel communication systems. Using modeling and simulation, researchers will verify that the system architecture can be implemented using existing hardware technology.
