This exploratory project is investigating the use of VLSI technology in biomedical applications. The particular problem that is being addressed is the measurement of chemical concentrations in test animals and remote collection of the measurement data. A variety of measurement techniques are being investigated, including the use of chemical electrophoresis and more conventional, but limited, methods. Digital wireless technology will be used to transmit the measurements for subsequent collection.
